In December of 2003 we purchased a beautiful home right on the Alafia River.  It is a Dutch style home with a gorgeous view of the river.  Since we've moved in we have been in the process of remodeling the house and property to best suit our needs. 

With the many hurricanes plaguing our state this year, the river has risen considerably.  Here are two pictures, first of the river at it's normal level, followed by a picture of the river at approximately 17 feet.  The water came into our main floor when it reached 22 feet.

After the floods of 2004 we started to make this house our home for the future!
