| Some time in early August our truck was hit by and IED
(Improvised Explosive Device). We had just left our Battalion Area and were in route to LSA Anaconda near the city of Balad, Iraq. My gunner and driver were injured by the blast and fragments. However, I was spared from even a scratch.
